Has it been a month since my last post? I'm a terrible blogger and I should be shot or hurled off the rooftop of the Ascott Raffles Place. All twenty-two storeys of it.

For two days, Bryan and I shot most of the new arrivals around the Ascott and One Raffles Quay. They were set to go on sale on Thursday but has since been postponed to Sunday as a result from my monthly love affair with Mr. Emotional.

You want to know a secret? Outdoor shoots are anything but fun. Yeah, no shit. I'm not sure if I'd want to attempt this fancy but taxing idea anytime soon again. Even having the comforts of a 5-star luxury service apartment was no consolation to the grueling task of satisfying the desire for beautifully styled photos. Sure, when I have a team of professionals fully equipped with the required tools, this endeavor can be successfully achieved without a sweat. And that, will totally happen in the next 6 months, trust me.

Nevertheless, I am proud of the work that Bryan and I have done and it will be amazing if you girls enjoy the clothes that will be in store tomorrow evening too. Keep your eyes peeled and always shop Labellavita!!

Had a great day out in the city two Sundays back, scouring for locations for Labellavita's next outdoor shoot and look what I found! Received a package from the awesome team at SUPRE a week ago. Can't wait to take them out to the streets and snap some photos to be posted up on their beyourownbrand blog though I've been kinda busy lately.

Yes, September is here. 2011 is flying past too fast and I can't seem to catch up. Clouded thoughts and disconnected visions wrecking my mind, I can't quite put a finger on what exactly that is bothering me. The inability to pen down or materialize them has once again determined my failure as a human being which in turn affects my productivity at work and at life too.

I wish you all a Happy September and I'm better going to get my life back on track.

Le magnifique laptop has died on me once again (must have been the 7352th time since I bought it 3 years ago) and it has been a total nightmare running an online store without one. Flattered to be spotted by Urban, a weekly guide to looking good published by the local newspaper. My superb time management fails me, once again. This article is dated way back to 13th May - a good three months ago. Oops!

You can't tell but the Topshop silk top drapes around my hips so divinely and there's a unique fringe detail at the back too... Love it to death. I'm wearing one of the necklaces featured in the previous necklace post as well. Must be all that bling that caught the eyes of the Urban team.

At the moment, my suffering eyes have since been subjected to 16 hours of staring straight into the malicious glare of my laptop as the new arrivals will be launching within the next couple of days and yes, there's no more time to waste...

Played around with three of my favorite necklaces today. Chunky charm necklaces have got me by my neck... and head too. I love how they add a tough-luxe accent to every look and complete an ordinary outfit with maximum edge and glamour to take you out after dark.

Sorry this space was all but lively for the last week. I was down with four days of fever, one of which was spent under the scorching hot sun shooting for the new arrivals that will be up tomorrow. Definitely not one of the best days of my life.

The above photo is one of my favorites! Much thanks to my beautiful friend, Erica, who modeled the pieces to perfection. I can't ask for a more photogenic model than her.

Recent purchases

I wish time will find me more often so this sad little blog will not be so deserted. Truth to be told, work is currently being pretty unrelenting and also umm.. my time management skills are still a work-in-progress.

Wrapped up two photoshoots this week for the new arrivals so far, here are some sneak peaks:

Yes, its a burst of colors for the month of July. Bags are also gracing the store for the first time. Embrace yet another plethora of summer loving styles with Labellavita!

Had the task of modeling for the store too and I truly hope I do these clothes justice. As much as I love being photographed, well, camwhoring if you put it crudely, but being behind the lens gives me more control and the accessibility to direct the style of the photos visually to the second. Photographing has it's cons too which makes me cry in pain.. Sore arms, shaking fingers and backaches comes complimentary with the job. I guess I'm not a good enough of a model too hence I'm restricted to limited moves and angles that will flatter both the product and myself. Probably should start a model search soon. Eh wonder what will Tyra Banks have to say....

P.s. Have you heard Adele's latest single, Someone Like You yet? It's been on replay on my playlist for the last week. So deep and real... you can't find another beautiful singer like Adele for another century.

Buying Trip Update + Spruce

Back from a fruitful buying trip! Three 10-hour-long days of walking have left my legs completely abused. Spent the entire Sunday resting my poor body for an 80 hour week ahead (well, I'll try *sheepish*). Excitement is reigning every inch of my mind, I can hardly wait to show you girls the gorgeous clothes I've brought back. There's also accessories this time including bags, belts and rings waiting to be snapped up :)

My boyfriend and I popped by Spruce for dinner before I left for the trip. What I LOVE about this unpretentious restaurant tucked away quietly off the busy streets of the city is that it's a mere ten minutes walk away from the boy's place, how awesome is that? Their must try dishes are the duck leg confit, beef short rib and mushroom risotto. Have been here several times for dinner but haven't so for brunch, which I've heard it's pretty divine, no thanks to my lazy bones that refuses to leave the house till the sun sets most of the time.

Hello, happy 4th of July to my readers from the US of A!

Hope everyone had a great start to the week. I’m still picking myself up from spending the weekend cruising down the highway of tears. This innate tendency to over-think, over-analyze, over-react to negativity kills me each time. A flaw that is tearing me apart.

It’s been a long time coming but I think I might have finally figured out a way to conquer this disgusting weakness and materialize the sadness and negative energy it brings into something beautiful. This, before your very eyes, is what I have escaped to instead of wallowing in self-pity. It gratifies my broken soul and I feel divine.

Like magic at my fingertips,
inspiration set wild and free.

First Post x Behind The Scenes

To start off on the first post, here's a treat for the eager eyes out there. We have behind-the-scene pictures from our summer campaign video, A Summer Affair, coming right up!

A huge thank you to my friend, Lish, for sacrificing precious time from her Saturday and most of all, her gorgeous room for us to have the privilege to shoot in which saved us the taxing trouble of finding a hotel room with the perfect setting, space and especially, budget.

Initial plans were to have outdoor scenes as well but due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to scrap that which I wasn't too pleased about but we always make the best of what we have, right?

4 hours was how long it took to capture all the scenes excluding 2 - 3 hours of preparation and messing around to produce this piece of work that only lasts for a little more than 2 minutes. Not forgetting the very tedious process spent editing the video which was a total nightmare. The patience, post-bum-ache from marathon hours of gluing down to the chair and over-strained eyes... I take my hat off to the creatives in the film industry.

This will definitely not be the last video though, we are already in the midst of producing the next one that will rival Steven Spielberg's. Yeah, overachievers we are.

We really appreciate all the love and support so far but don't stop there. What good is a thing when none is shared?

P.s. bloopers soon perhaps?
